Fees & Billing

  • $55 per child, per class

  • Invoiced at the start of each term for the full term

Term Structure

  • Classes run for 8 weeks of the 10-week school term

  • Lessons start in Week 2

  • Week 10 is reserved as a Catch-Up Week only if a class is cancelled due to teacher unavailability or other unexpected circumstances

Refunds & Credits

  • No refunds for missed classes

  • No credits for future terms

  • If your child misses a week, they rejoin at the next scheduled session — make-up classes are not available

  • In the rare case that Klangfarben must cancel a class, the missed session will be made up in Week 10

Instruments & Materials

  • Instruments are provided for use during lessons only (not taken home)

  • Parents are responsible for repair or replacement costs if an instrument is damaged through misuse

  • Normal wear and tear is included

  • Discounts are available for families purchasing an instrument through our partner shop. Please speak to Tabea directly.

  • All other materials included

Class Size & Supervision

  • Maximum of 4 children per kindy-aged group and 6 children per school-aged group

  • Morning session: 7:30–8:30am, walked safely to YSS/Kindy by 8:45am

  • Afternoon session: 3:30–4:30pm, children collected from YSS at 3:00pm

  • Parking is available behind the hall

Safety & Permissions

  • Parent contract required before first lesson, including:

    • Emergency contacts

    • Allergy/health details

    • Permission for supervised school walks (blue card holders)

  • High-vis vests are provided during walks

  • Written permission + photo ID required for alternative pick-ups

  • Parents do not stay in sessions

  • No photos, videos, or recordings permitted during class

Communication & Community

  • No social media policy – children will never appear on Facebook, Instagram, etc.

  • Families are encouraged to share through word of mouth

  • Parent–teacher calls: mid-year and end-of-year (10 mins each) to discuss progress

  • Parents may contact Tabea, the director, anytime during the year

Performances

  • Children have the opportunity to perform in two small concerts each year: Winter & Summer Recitals
