Another great lesson this week.
All students now have their music books for the year and their practice journals.
Practice Journals: please encourage your child to enter how many minutes practice they have completed each day (I suggest that at this early stage minutes practiced = age of child), what they have practiced and give them self a rating.
They can make up their own rating but encourage it to be out of three (e.g. frowny/straight/Smiley face, red/yellow/green light)
I have attached the link for the book purchase below. The price includes a second book, Music theory for kids, to come in the next 1-2 lessons.
Have a great week and enjoy the long weekend.
Practice:
Study at bottom of lesson 1 and pieces 1-4 on lesson two

Well Done! First lesson done and dusted and you’re on your way to being really great guitar players.
Homework this week:
N.B. Worksheet and audio tracks are below

Practice Em and G chord. Practice them slowly. Slow, good practice is better than fast and wrong
Practice moving between both of these chords slowly
Play along to the backing track.
First Chord in song G
Second chord song Em
Firstly, practice 1 chord per 8 counts then as you get better, do 2 chords per 8 counts
Have Fun!
